This year’s competition will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Capitol Civic Centre in Manitowoc, WI.
Take the first steps to becoming Miss America by filling out an application. You will then receive access to all the materials you will need to prepare for this year’s competition.

Miss Harbor Cities’ Teen Application
No experience necessary! All aspects of the competition are held in one day at the CCC. There may be one, mandatory meeting the week of September 10, 2024 held via video conference or video viewing.
To qualify, a candidate must:
- Be between the ages of 13-28,
Age On June 21, 2025:14-17 Teen18-27 Miss
- Be a United States citizen
- Meet residency requirements by either living, working full time, or attending school full time in the state of Wisconsin
- Meet fundraising requirements of Miss America & MHC
The registration fee of $39 is sent to MAO and is not received by the Miss Harbor Cities Organization. This registration, even if not competing in any local, qualifies an individual for:
- Chance to win a $1,000 scholarship – one in each state & District of Columbia
- Access to exclusive MAO Professional Development Series with experts in areas such as: Social Media training, Public speaking, Media/Press training, Advocacy & Fundraising, Financial literacy, etc.
- Health & Wellness / Peak Performance training
- Resume building
- Career opportunities and networking events
- Exclusive Miss America merchandise and discounts
Miss America has restructured the participation fees and now requires Rebel Athletic wear for the fitness competition. Given this, MHC has reassessed fundraising requirements for 2025. The minimum amount is reduced to $45 and can be covered by sponsorship or fundraising.
